Photographs, which fiddle with the scale of the world, themselves get reduced,
blown up, cropped, retouched, doctored, tricked out. This quote from “On Photography”
means to me that anybody can filter any type of picture with a computer, phone, etc. It is
something that we live with nowadays. Almost everyone filters their picture to make it
perfect. Whether it’s cropping out, adding color, or focusing on the subject. In this picture,
I went out and used the portrait mode on my phone to add that little more effect to the picture.
I filtered the picture however I could, not to make myself look good, but to demonstrate
how bizarre photographs can come out just by playing around with it.
