Out of the many quotes from the article, “On Photography” by Susan Sontag, one that stood out to me the most was "Photographs furnish evidence. Something we hear about, but doubt, seems proven when we’re shown a photograph of it.” (Paragraph 6). I knew I wanted to use this quote, but I did not know how to take a picture to represent it. I had a dentist appointment that I was forced to go to by my mom and refused to go to because I hate the dentist. This quote was on the back of my mind to the point that it had inspired me to go to my appointment. Majority of the time photographs are used to supply evidence or capture moments to prove something has happened. I took this opportunity to, not only get my teeth cleaned, but to capture the moment of me being there to supply my mom with evidence (proof) that I did go. Going to the dentist to take this picture to provide someone with evidence was something I feel that related to the quote.
