Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke is my favorite novel. Earth is being "taken over" by aliens, who are visualized as devils. The novel takes a look at how villains are actually humankind's savior, trying to save the human race from extinction. Wanguchi Mutu is able to put work together that looks destructive in my perspective, it shows violence. Therefore, for my selfie this week I have decided to put together a small collage of the work. We have the NYC skyline, the center of life, the globe, lively flowers, all on top of a landfill. I wanted to show a concept of destruction that has been given to the Earth as we overshadow that with life and selfishness. In connection to Childhood's End, we are not the Earth's saviors, and what is left for humankind is unknown.
